In August 2017, e-Spatial undertook a company restructure with the company focusing on a more “consulting led” approach to engaging with their clients.I moved into a new role, Design Team Lead. I was a founding Director and Senior Consultant. Responsibilities included concurrent management of multiple projects across both infrastructure and development disciplines. I maintained a very “hands-on” approach to lead and mentor technical teams developing bespoke and packaged solutions, providing project management structure, disciplines and techniques.

I was responsible for liaising with the client and organising all resources, technical staff management and vendor liaison for a major thin-client system design, development and roll-out.

My responsibilities included scoping, designing and recommending approaches to the development of new applications for the company. This developed into a more strategic role where, as a member of a small team, I designed and recommended future directions and strategies for the Company as a whole, as well as training staff in the new systems.

I was responsible for overseeing technical staff and allocation of work deadlines to ensure that these were met and problems solved. This work involved understanding the clients business, their long term business direction and IT infrastructure, in order to scope and recommend future IT infrastructures and migration plans to move the client towards them.
