I was initially responsible for the successful delivery of the flagship RiskWise product (http://s2riskwise.com), following project failure prior to my employment.RiskWise is now an industry-leading Property Management application, and is used by approximately 4000 users, on a daily basis, to manage the risks associated with over 3000 commercial assets, spread out amongst 40-50 of S2’s most influential and high-calibre clients.I've taken an integral role in the recruitment of a software delivery team containing developers, system analysts, testers, project managers, and support staff, and routinely mentor team members, providing technical expertise on all aspects of the software development life cycle.I have personally implemented various Agile Software Development and Quality Assurance procedures to streamline development and improve product stability, completely transforming S2's software development capabilities during my tenure.I'm currently leading teams developing various products based on a proprietary LAMP MVC framework, written by myself, to provide a focused Rapid Application Development platform from which to launch fully REST-enabled, feature rich web applications.Current projects built using this MVC framework include the next iteration of the RiskWise product, and an Internal Management System (http://www.s2sims.com) which facilitates all processes within S2’s business domain – not to mention the various companion apps which complement each product by providing data capture, CMS , and dashboard components via mobile devices.

I was initially commissioned by NEWI’s CAIR programme (http://www.glyndwr.ac.uk/computing/research/index.shtml) to provide consultancy to MRI in early 2005, then accepted a permanent role following the successful resolution of a number of product development issues.During my time with Mitial, I had overall responsibility for the Software Development Life cycle of various commercial products, ranging from commercial web sites, to electronic survey management applications, to benchmarking applications – all delivered from web applications and services built on a LAMP stack.In addition to my role as a software developer, I was also occasionally tasked with the creation and presentation of numerous electronic and hard-copy Contact Centre technical audits.

This role was offered to me by the Computing faculty immediately following the conclusion of my under-graduate studies, and chiefly involved the provision of academic support and tuition to under-graduates, largely in C++, Java, and general web development (HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, ASP).My post-graduate studies concentrated on the Artificial Intelligence field of Social Modelling, with the electronic simulation of natural prejudice proving particularly interesting.
