About Wojciech Fedorko

In my role here at TRIUMF I am supporting TRIUMF scientists in their data science and machine learning needs as well as establishing quantum computing projects. I am responsible for the deployment a machine learning / deep learning platform and at the same time defining pilot machine learning projects advancing TRIUMFs scientific mission in all it's research areas spanning nuclear physics, particle physics, life sciences and accelerator physics.I am also responsible for providing teaching and training on machine learning topics and industry collaboration. In my research time I am conducting studies on top quark tagging using modern deep learning methods using imperative, dynamically built computation graphs.I have extensive experience in digital electronics firmware design and deployment, specializing in high volume, real-time data processing. Over last few years I developed FPGA firmware for, and commissioned one of the trigger upgrade components for the ATLAS detector. The bandwidth provided by the system I developed is >1 Tbps with a latency of ~150ns. I also contributed to the development of readout components for the High Luminosity run of ATLAS.I have taken numerous leadership roles in project management, operations, data analysis and review.
