My main specialism lies in global mobility, combining HR and tax knowledge with practical experience, having lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Russia and the Czech Republic. Responsible for leading teams, building business and developing longer term strategic goals. I worked closely with both major international corporates as well as smaller entities expanding internationally. I linked with both internal stakeholders and the C-suite to bring a global perspective and commercial mindset to mobility challenges while recognising compliance requirements. I supported clients across most sectors including oil & gas, mining, financial services, consumer goods and electronics and am recognised for providing exceptional client service, coaching staff and leading teams. My early career with PwC UK combined tax compliance activities with consulting in the later years in the financial services sector, especially with regard to tax efficient remuneration of long term incentive plans, interaction of US and UK taxation and pension planning. Period also included 3 year secondment to Sydney where I developed an excellent knowledge of Australian taxation working across a range of clients, including privately owned Australian businesses, global organisations and high net worth individuals. In 1998 I emigrated to Australia to take on leadership of the Human Resource Services team in Brisbane, becoming a partner in July 2001. Significant projects during this time included:• provision of US compliance, US payroll and advisory services, including development of bespoke tax equalisation and international assignment policy for a population of Australian nationals based in the United States. Required relationship building with key stakeholders, including senior management and union representatives.• advising Australian mining business regarding expansion into South America and working with the C-suite to optimise their tax position.• working closely with a senior colleague to mentor her through to partnership.
