I studied and designed novel organometallic compounds in a team of organometallic and theoretical chemists, and in collaboration with industry (FEI, ASML).In a parallel project with biochemists and organic chemists (Prof. Ben Feringa, Nobel prize 2016), I functionalized surfaces using self-assembling monolayers. We directed the self-assembly of functional molecules on the nanoscale to make calibration samples for super-resolution microscopy. I supervised BSc, MSc and PhD students, and taught a 2nd year course on Electronics and Signal Processing.
