I have been practicing as a Divorce and Family Lawyer in Plymouth since 1994.I undertake all aspects of Family Law including divorce and related financial issues between separating couples, cohabitation disputes and disputes in relation to children.I am experienced in high net worth financial cases where there are businesses and pensions.I am an accredited specialist Family Lawyer on the Law Society's Family Law Panel (Advanced Tier) and with Resolution (Advocacy Financial Provision and Children Law private).I am an accredited Collaborative Lawyer. I am the Resolution liaison officer for the Plymouth Collaborative lawyers. We are collectively known as PLYMPOD. I am an accredited mediator and work with Mums and Dads who need my help in making arrangements for their children after separation. This is a more constructive, positive and forward looking way of resolving disputes and prioritises the needs of the children, with both Mum and Dad having an opportunity to be heard.For many years I acted in cases where children were at risk of harm and where the Local Authority had intervened. I acted for parents as well as children through their Guardians and this has give a significant insight into the issues children experience when they are traumatised and separated from parents.I was formerly an accredited specialist on the Law Society's Children Panel (Children Representative) to reflect my experience but I am now focussing on mediation as a more child centred process of resolving disputes between parents in relation to with whom the children will live and how much time they will spend with each parent after their Mum and Dad's separation.I am Press Officer with Devon Resolution and I am a committee member and Secretary to a Child Contact Centre in Plymouth.Specialisms: Divorce, financial issues arising from separation, children disputes, mediation and the collaborative process.
