As President & General Manager of Goal Zero, I am responsible for empowering people with emerging portable energy solutions that meet their needs wherever life takes them, whether that is climbing a mountain, traveling through an airport, at home during a power outage, or cheering for their kids from the slide lines of a soccer field. With a strong foundation in product strategy & operational excellence, I have steered our award-winning product line from conception to market leadership. My tenure at Goal Zero has been marked by a commitment to top and bottom-line financial growth through balanced P&L management.Prior to Goal Zero, I held progressive leadership roles with NRG Energy, including General Manager of Reliant Energy’s multi-billion dollar residential and small commercial segments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and outcome-based fiscal decisions. In addition, I held leadership roles in information technology, customer care, operations, and product development driving operational excellence, transformational projects, and financial results. Before joining Reliant, I spent ten years in management and information technology consulting at firms including Ernst & Young working with varied Fortune 500 clients in the Financial, Telecom, and Energy Industries. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management & Computer Science from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. I currently serve on the board of directors for Bike Utah and the Utah Outdoor Association. My professional passions involve forming high performing teams, developing premium differentiated products, relentlessly driving continuous improvement, & providing exceptional service to customers.
