Worked with designers and engineers to build an all-new authoring experience for SharePoint. This included hundreds of React components that needed to be performant, accessible, and work across a range of devices. Advocated for improved practices, including flexbox layout and CSS modules for isolating component styles. Was the lead developer of OneDrive’s website, where I ran Optimizely A/B tests and implemented a redesign that increased signups by 44% and app downloads by 80%. Refactored the Knockout codebase for performance and maintainability. Responsible for the complex task of meeting GDPR compliance and delivered ahead of schedule. Continued to be a key contributor to the Fabric (now Fluent UI) design system as it grew to be used across Microsoft. Created components and a new documentation site in React, lead technical discussions, identified and fixed hundreds of issues, and built relationships with our third-party developers. Worked with teams of designers on the Fluent design language and lead the project as we implemented it throughout the design system.

Teamed up with product managers and researchers to improve the My T-Mobile web application where customers manage their accounts. Increased customer satisfaction and retention while cutting support costs. Designed and prototyped (with InVision and Framer) an innovative support system that combined bots and customer service reps.

Supported designers by rapidly iterating on HTML/CSS/JS prototypes as we validated new concepts. Seeing an opportunity to improve our processes, we created the Fabric design system. I wrote resilient and scalable CSS (component-based methodology) and JavaScript components and helped engineers integrate these into apps. Assumed a technical leadership role and evangelized the design system to teams across Microsoft.
