Mr. Hastings assists in the development and execution of major energy asset purchase bids, with an emphasis on the Norwegian and British North Sea along with the Irish Atlantic Margin. The efforts are conducted in partnership with international banking entities and hedge funds. Work involves preparation initiatives and hedging, all the way through to the bid evaluation & communications. Bid between $2 and $3 Billion have been submitted - via the Tellus team.The process is active but disciplined; with no unhedged bidding. Since 2014, efforts have slowed with the drop of commodity pricing but entity continues to have access to capital and key engineering and commercial expertise.

Ongoing energy advisory and investment effort through Nova Atlantic, a Delaware - registered LLC. Investment centers on natural gas development, undervalued assets, and energy infrastructure "re-purposing". The Company actively evaluates mid-cap Company's market capitalization versus underlying asset value and works to enhance shareholder returns. Nova Atlantic LLC holds a majority interest in Abnaki Group LLC and interests in other partnerships seeking to restructure overlooked energy assets and Companies.

Involvement in growth initiatives and business plans in "small cap" energy exploration & production business worldwide. Worked to establish Magellan as a viable platform for property acquisition in North America and AustraliaMr. Hastings held, at one point, a fully diluted share interest totaling 4.8%, but exited the Magellan effort in mid-2014 via a share option exercise and outright share sale.He was President & Chief Executive Officer 2008 to 2011. Continued as Director until 2012His final scope of responsibility included membership on the Strategic Alternatives Committee. That group worked to gain additional strategic partners, to improve the Company's existing asset valuation, to explore additional financing alternatives, and examine merger or other combination with one or more public or private entity, the acquisition of either producing or non-producing oil and gas assets, or the sale of all or a portion of the Company or any discrete asset of the Company.

Held leadership roles within Business Development and New Ventures within Marathon Oil Corporation. Held Directorship and planning responsibilities within Marathon entities including: Marathon Oil U.K., Marathon Oil North Sea, Marathon Intl Petroleum, Marathon Intl Petroleum (Great Britain), Marathon Service Company and Marathon LNG Marketing LLC. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Hastings managed overseas business development for Marathon Oil for Europe and Africa. He was involved with initial strategy, development, transactions, and events leading up to the initiation and successful aggregation and development of the Alvheim, Volund, Vilje project complex ( a $10 Billion NPV-10 asset) held by Marathon Petroleum Norway. He was also involved in strategy formulation and commercial events leading to the acquisition of Marathon assets now further developed and known as Equatorial Guinea LNG.

Held executive and development roles within Marathon U.S. infrastructure subsidiaries: Marathon Pipeline LLC, Nautilus Pipeline LLC, and Manta Ray Offshore LLC. Mr. Hastings was President of Marathon Pipeline LLC - an affiliate of Marathon Oil prior to being transferred to London, United KingdomWork then was instrumental in the development of that latter two natural gas pipelines (Nautilus as FERC regulated and Manta Ray LLC as unregulated), the associated Neptune cryogenic natural gas processing complexes near Garden City, Louisiana (today 650 mmcfd), the natural gas trading hub there (today, seven line connections), and in the development of the Poseidon offshore crude oil transportation system.
