Working on qualitative data with OpenAI's large language models that are behind ChatGPT. Build complete AI pipeline from scratch using Dagster on ECS. Started alone, embedded in the computer vision AI team to build AI infrestructure but grew to managing a team of 7 people responisble for all the machine learning infrastructure in the company. We used Google Cloud's (GCP) Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for data processing and model traning and k3s for edge server deployments. Initially I wrote the inference server which was deployed to a fleet of edge servers that had to be managed with Ansible and continuous intergration usign GitOps. The end-to-end system intergrated with half a dozen microservices from data collextion to retail expperience.

Started as a frontend web developer (React/Redux) and moved into an A.I. position leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining for business intelligence. This included the processing of big data via Apache Spark (on Hadoop) in Scala as well as using the following libraries: Gensim, Scikit.learn, spaCy, NLTK, numpy amongst others. The end result was an automated pipeline on AWS that processed data on a regular schedule, trained a model and deployed multiple endpoints for inference.

Co-founded a startup company based in the music and movie industries. The role involved working at every level of the business for from market analysis to product design to implementation and finally deployment. An MVP was produced and launched within tight budgets and hard deadlines.

Helped to design and develop an in-house PHP CMS for use on the web properties Mad Dog Mobile and MAND8. Both sites integrated with Amplefuture phone services via a SOAP interface. A real time content monitoring system was also require as Mad Dog Mobile was targeted at teens

Brought in as a independent contractor to make their websites (www.nationalrail.co.uk) Accessible and comply with the UKs Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). As part of this all pages had to strictly adhere to web standards. Search engine optimisation (SEO) was also required as well as make the HTML/CSS templates work well in PDA browsers.

Project involved a PHP web interface to an LDAP mail server for the Criminal Justice IT department. This was an internal mail system that encrypted mail for broadcast over the extranet.

Sub contracted for Capture Communications on various PHP/MySQL based shopping cart systems, including X-Cart. Also some pro bono work for Vibewire.net NGO community portal.

Oversaw the web development strategy for the 14 countries in Europe that this large telecommunication company had offices in. Designed and developed content translation web interface/CMS.
