-Assist the Controller with monthly and yearly accounting functions such as monthly journal entries, reconciliations, cash management, credit card administration and other duties as needed-Help oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll

The KUB Retirement Systems moved to the Accounting Department to provide focus on the financial aspects of the retirement plan. My primary focus revolves around the 401(k) Plan and our Other Post Employment Benefits (OPEB) Plan. In addition, I am responsible for the accounting of our charitable program, Project Help, along with assisting the Cash Management Team. Responsibilities include: • Financial Reporting and Statistical Analysis for 401(k) & OPEB Plans • Quarterly Financial and Plan Updates to KUB’s Investment Committee and OPEB Board • Oversee Budget for 401(k) & OPEB Plans • Prepare data for Plan Audits & Valuations • Prepare Audited Financial Statements, including new GASB implementations • Plan Administration – Investment Policies, Plan Documents, Contracts, Vendor Liaison • Monthly Reconciliations, Journal Entries, and Financial Reporting for Project Help • Department Requisitioning, Payment Dispatching, Ordering Internal Supplies

In addition to the duties stated above for the 401(k) and OPEB Plans, my other responsibilities included: • Medical Plan Administration – Heavy analysis on medical plan claims, surveys, and reporting to develop a complete picture of yearly medical data and trends presented to CEO & Senior Staff for determination of changes to KUB’s self-funded medical plan • Liaison between KUB and all Benefit related Vendors • Service Award and Paid Time Off Administrator • Oversee Budget for Medical Plan • Respond to Employee and Retiree Inquiries

Perform account analysis on various general ledger accounts for multiple companies under a family enterprise.- Prepare Monthly Financials and Fluctuation Analysis- Review and Reconcile Multiple Bank Accounts- Responsible for Payroll Taxes for 12 Different Family Owned Companies in 17 States- Complete Monthly Sales Tax Returns- Assist Upper Management with Inquiries and Projects throughout the Organization

Collaborated and assisted the General Ledger Team with month end closing and reconciliations. Responsible for selected journals and daily cash management. Performed queries, research, and corrections in multiple revenue reassurance projects.

Provided customer service through cash, check, loan, and credit card transactions as well as opening/closing member accounts and CDs. Also provided assistance to the loan department with processing loans when needed.
