This position was responsible for leading the Gulf Coast Property Management team to acquire, build, manage, and restore properties and facilities in support of the Gulf Coast Restoration Operation (GCRO) along the Gulf Coast. The properties and/or facilities were used as offices, staging areas, beach access sites, forward operating bases, and warehouses in support of the spill response. Managed HSE programs and safety reps to insure safe operating facilities.

Served as a Task Force Leader then Group Leader in the Operations Section of the BP Response in the Gulf of Mexico. Responsibilities included working with the Vessels of Opportunity Program in on-water oil spill recovery. Managed a fleet of fishing boats, support boats, and a responder’s quarters complex engaged in oil recovery operations using skimmers and absorbents. Responsible to insure the safety of all response personnel in my group.

This position was responsible for environmental and safety compliance for three facilities including an oil refinery, a terminal, and a polymer plant. This position included multi-media compliance, facility safety, training, recordkeeping and reporting. Responsibilities included: •Emergency and spill response; •Air (Title V) permits (permit renewals, compliance plans, monitoring, reporting); •Remediation – clean up of onsite releases, groundwater recovery and monitoring;•Wastewater system and NPDES permits; •Hazardous waste management (waste management plan, waste profiles, sampling, disposal); •Safety Management - OSHA, DOT, and hazard communication;•Compliance audits and revised facility response plans (FRP), SPCC Plans, safety procedures. •Regulatory reports and records for TRI, Tier II, hazardous waste, Consent Decree and LDAR;
