- Developer on mission critical project to port all of our credit card valuations models from legacy systems to open source infrastructure (largely Python)- Instructor and author of internal course on regression techniques in Python, targeted at the business analyst community

Principal Associate in the Risk Capital and Analytics (RCA) Quantitative Modeling Team, specifically focused on developing and maintaining statistical risk models for Capital One's US Credit Card portfolio. Our models are used primarily for loss forecasting and Basel compliance. I also authored a Python package for model building to assist in moving the team off legacy systems.

Throughout my years at UT-Austin, I have been a Teaching Assistant for many different undergraduate math courses. Starting in 2012, the Sanger Learning Center recruited me to the Supplemental Instructor program for which I attended weekly meetings aimed at developing and improving my teaching skills. Handling complaints against math department faculty members from undergraduate students; conflict resolution. Also assisting in prerequisite checking at the beginning of each semester and organizing the Undergraduate Math Club meetings every Wednesday.

Co-mentored an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) project at UCLA; our project used tools from both topic modeling and network analysis to data mine the Enron e-mail dataset (full data of all e-mails sent to/from Enron employees). My group focused on natural language processing, incorporating temporal information into topic modeling, and automatic summarization algorithms.

Working on signal processing algorithms, with a focus on Compressive Sensing applications.

Invited by Andrea Bertozzi to work on graph-based optimizationproblems. Resulted in two papers.

Processed data in Microsoft Excel and Stata, resulting in authorship on a report to Louisiana's LED assessing their Bridge Loan Program for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

In charge of filing insurance / appraisal / loan paperwork, organizing and maintaining the 'Loan Vault'. Resulted in a promotion to a temporary Loan Reviewer position in which I helped clear a backlog of regulation paperwork for compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
