Led the Americas team in the development and delivery of plans to achieve growth in visitation and visitor expenditure.- Directed crisis management efforts in the North America market when Australia shut international borders due to Covid-19. Pandemic response included pivoting all consumer and industry activities to be virtual and inspirational in order to maintain awareness and interest, while developing recovery plans. - Drove the North America team in working with the head office team to deliver the biggest ever campaign for the US market, the AUD 36 million Super Bowl Campaign ‘Dundee’, and the follow up ‘Visit the Set’ campaign in 2018. This included partnership campaign extensions with a range of industry partners, and public relations and events.- Led the delivery in the Americas markets of previous major Tourism Australia campaigns, including the global ‘Best Jobs in the World’, ‘Restaurant Australia’ and ‘Aquatic and Coastal’ campaigns as well as market specific partnership campaigns such as ‘Someday’ and ‘This Time Tomorrow’ with Virgin Australia.- Developed, adapted and engaged a high-performance team through organizational changes and successfully delivered high quality annual operating plans to meet and exceed goals.- Oversaw Americas agency relationships and performance, including media, production and PR agencies in the US and trade representation and PR in Canada.- Created and delivered the largest ever Tourism Australia campaign in South America, bringing the Brazilian ‘Totalmente Demais’ telenovela to Australia to film episodes in 2015.- Represented Tourism Australia on the G’Day USA steering committee and championed new approaches and outcomes-focused tourism events. Developed and led six annual Australia Tourism Summits (industry thought leadership conferences), as well as other industry and media events.
