The Market & Vended Data Services provides SSgA with a centralized group for the acquisition of all third-party data services and the governance and operational management of all market data. Its central goal is to provide the highest level of value and quality for all third-party data consumed by SSgA worldwide. The group is broken into three teams - Vendor Management, Market Data Stewardship and Market Data Operations - all working together closely with business users and IT to manage the overall lifecycle of market and third-party data services. The team is comprised of data operations staff in Boston, Montreal and Bangalore (providing quality oversight and support); vendor management experts (procuring and maintaining budget) in Boston; and market data stewards in Boston and Los Angeles (develop and enhance new data requirements).
