Hi I’m Jasmine! (she/her). I am an independent creative producer working across arts, research and the public realm. I specialise in leading programmes that shift power and resources to young people and local communities. I have established programmes at Science Gallery London, the Barbican and Poet in the City, developing residencies, exhibitions, public art, films, collaborative research projects, festivals and more.My work emerges from an interest in the possibilities of collective creative practices and radical pedagogies. Recent work includes: - Just Futures Residency (2023), I launched this programme to fund, resource and support youth-led creativity and activism in South London. My work on this programme included co-producing the exhibition My Kind of Black (2024) with The Spit Game UK- Sustain Space (2022). I co-designed, launched and delivered Science Gallery London’s young people’s programme for 18 - 25 year olds- differently various (2023), I established the co-production process for Headway East London’s critically acclaimed show ‘differently various’ at the Barbican - A Drop of Hope (2021), I co-produced this D&AD award-winning project, commissioning 12 poems reflecting local experiences of the Covid-19 vaccination programme in CamdenI have collaborated widely with local authorities in London, internationally with Science Gallery, and with cultural organisations across the UK. My work stems from my background in youth voice and participation and my role with the Social Art Network to promote socially-engaged artistic practices in the UK.I enjoy connecting with practitioners interested in similar work - say hi!
