The Australian Institute of Architects is the peak membership body representing approximately 11,000 architects across Australia.My role as Executive Director of the Victorian Chapter is accountable for the commercial, operational and resource management of the VIC Chapter. Key responsibilities include:- Advocating for the promotion of architects. This includes but is not limited to, preparation and writing of submissions to government; keeping updated on local, State and Federal Government policies that impact architecture standards, policies and practices; and managing liaisons with members, government representatives, media and other industry organisations.- Representing the Institute and engaging with stakeholders that include government, education, allied industry and professional organisations, national and local sponsors and the public.- Overseeing various member services, programs and events including the prestigious state Architecture Awards program.- Chapter HR management in order to deliver strong leadership and develop a highly motivated and performing team.

My role as State Manager covering both the Victorian and Tasmanian divisions is to ensure the achievement of the Institute's strategic objectives at the state level in relation to the full product list of education products and services, membership, tax technical and business development.A key focus of the Vic division is to deliver in excess of 50 professional development events across the greater Melbourne area from short seminars to 2 day metro based conferences which are marketed nationally. In addition, the Tasmanian division is also served from our Melbourne office and hosts the largest tax conference held in the state as well as offering other technical and networking sessions.In order to achieve this, I liaise with and manage several committees comprised of tax and industry professionals with a goal to maximise their contribution and fulfil the needs of our members whilst meeting the Institute's commercial outcomes.

TeachLondon provided primary and secondary teaching staff to London and the Home Counties schools for permanent, fixed term and daily supply contracts. During my tenure, TeachLondon was awarded to be one of 7 preferred suppliers within London of primary and secondary staff.At the time of my employment, I was a member of the Senior Management Team for the Education Division of Public Recruitment Group. Within TeachLondon, I was responsible for the recruitment and management of 23 staff including London and overseas offices. I had full operational and P&L responsibility, and management of the sales efforts of consultants and sales functions.

In addition to managing the sales and marketing division, I managed 3 Supply Desk regional offices/teams and was a member of the Division's Senior Management Team.
