As a Programming Librarian at Glenview Public Library for over 15 years, I developed and maintained a diverse and inclusive collection of audiovisual materials that reflect the needs and interests of the community. I also provide digital instruction and information literacy to patrons and staff, using various platforms and tools to facilitate access and learning.I am passionate about the library's role as a community hub and a catalyst for social change. I create and deliver engaging programs and events that foster learning, creativity, and civic participation, such as film screenings, author visits, educational programs, and music events. I help leverage social media and online communication to promote the library's services, resources, and initiatives, as well as to connect with the community and build partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders. I have completed the Dale Carnegie Course, which has enhanced my skills in leadership, communication, and interpersonal relations. My goal is to continue to grow as a professional and a leader, and to contribute to the library's mission and vision.
