I started my professional career with a degree in Social Work as my true passion is advocating for others. In a strange and unexpected way this led me to working in a Credit Union in Laramie, Wyoming. I really enjoyed the opportunities I had there as a Debt solutions officer, getting a certification in financial counseling to guide members through how to manage their budgets. Through my work at the credit union, being lucky enough to participate in Leadership Laramie, and my involvement in my community (Laramie Main Street) I was awarded Laramie Young Professionals 20 under 40 in 2019. In 2020 I took a chance and moved to Boise Idaho for a new opportunity with WaFd bank and I am currently working in Corporate Fraud and BSA/AML compliance which is an interesting, and exciting change from what I expected! I had the opportunity to get my CAMS certification and the more I learn, the more I like this area of banking. I’m passionate about helping others, and being involved in preventing and detecting financial crime as well as leading a team of amazing analysts has definitely helped me to see that social work is in everything and I chose the right line of work. When I'm not at work I love to play music, read, garden (even though I'm horrible at it), cook, and spend time with my family. I love meeting new people - feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
