As the Subject Matter Expert for Windows Server technologies and SCCM, I led the strategic oversight and operational management of security patching for over 3,000 servers, as well as driving compliance and automation initiatives across the enterprise.

Architected and deployed a 4 node Hyper-V cluster on Windows Server 2012 R2 and managed by SCVMM 2012 R2 for a large SaaS provider in Northern Indiana. Also architected and deployed a Windows Server Storage Spaces and Scale-Out File Server for a Virtual Machine storage fabric utilizing DataOn Storage DNS-1660 JBOD’s and RDMA (SMB Direct) on Windows Server 2012 R2. Assisted large Childrens Hospital in Ohio with the deployment of a 4 node Hyper-V cluster to support 100+ VM’s running a variety of Medical Practice software and other services critical to daily hospital operations. Migrated their existing SCVMM 2008 R2 install to SCVMM 2012 R2 and configured VM Templates for Windows Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2 to support virtual machine deployment.Architected and assisted in the planning and execution of a VMWare to Hyper-V migration of 400+ virtual machines for an engineering firm in central Ohio. These were migrated using a variety of tools, including the Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter, SCVMM, and disk2vhd. Helped architect a Microsoft Private Cloud solution built on Windows Server 2012 R2 and SCVMM 2012 R2 for a large national insurance provider. This environment was designed to support both automated deployment utilizing SCVMM and SCOM, and self-service deployment via SC App Controller, to deploy VM's for a variety of roles and line of business software.

Assisted in the development and implementation of Best Practices involving customer deployments of Exchange server, Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting, as well as developing and maintaining standards for our Professional Services groupPlanned and completed multiple Exchange server migration projects, including migrations from Exchange 2007 and 2010 to Exchange Server 2013. Lead Engineer for multitenant ASP.NET hosting products, Remote Desktop Services, and Parallels Virtuozzo for Windows Platform. Worked closely with Marketing and Sales teams to craft product strategies and respond to customer requests and feature additions, as well as producing documentation for frontline support personnel. Planned and implemented a virtualization consolidation project that included migrating 300+ Parallels Virtuozzo containers to Hyper-V using AcutePath software and manual migration. This project recovered 30U in the datacenter and reduced our licensing costs by $18K per month. We completed a whitepaper with AcutePath and Microsoft related to this project.Managed and supported a Remote Desktop Services farm to assist SQL team with the SQL Server 2008 R2 Beta program that supported over 300 simultaneous usersParticipated with Microsoft in a hosted ASP.NET 4.0 trial which included architecting, deploying, and managing a virtualized web server environment.
