As a lifelong athlete, I have enjoyed all facets of sports and sports education. As I grew older and began to be very involved in various physical activities, I was unfortunately opened up to injury, therefore introducing me to the world of medicine. I have always been an avid lover and learner of all things digital and tech, but my love for medicine grew rapidly and attached to my fiery passion for helping others. This connection ignited my interest in sports medicine, persuading me to earn a collegiate degree in Athletic Training. Most of my career choices have either been in the medical field or an area that involves aiding others in the betterment of life.For the past few years, I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as a pharmacy technician because I have been able to use my medical expertise to work effectively in the pharmacy, as well as live out my everyday dream, which is to be an assistance to those in need who may be misinformed or less fortunate. “Pharmacy Tech” is deeper than counting pills and bottling them. The feeling that I obtain from being able to assist different populations in meeting their medication needs and improving their quality of life is incomparable. Although I enjoy the pharmacy field and have benefitted from it, three years ago I was introduced to a line to work that I never imagined. In the search for a job with a higher salary, I was connected to life/health insurance. Initially I did it for the “check, but as time went on, I was able to connect my heart for others with the job responsibilities. The once mundane job became a grateful experience. I am also able to use my insurance experience that I attained from the pharmacy to educate clients about the benefits of medical coverage and life protection. My job duties include me being a “sales person”, but I choose to see the job as a chance to provide clients with protection that better to have and not need, than need and not have. I enjoy being the voice for those who may not be well educated in the medical, technology, or the insurance arena, and I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experience in fields that provide protection for families, whether it’s medical, pharmaceutical, digital, or in building generational wealth.
