Designing and Implementing infrastructure both of company wide general business operations and daily claims handling practices.

I work on development of (and ongoing maintenance to) client specific training material and education on the processes across company platforms. I am working to build relationships with my field resources so that I can be a resource for instances where clarification or additional training is necessary. I also work directly with our BCC Client Managers to customize the training and communications approach to their management style. Our goal is to maintain continuity in the instruction provided for our Desk Staff and Independent Adjuster force in the field that gives them the tools to compose a quality file catered to each Carrier’s specs.

Visit insured properties and gather information necessary to make underwriting determinations for property, liability, and workers comp insurance for a number of carriers.

Accept contracts individually and preform inspections of equipment and property for the purpose of approval or maintenance purposes for loans and/or other financial obligations.

Provide photographic documentation and written inventory the damaged contents on sites affected by fire losses. I coordinate with the homeowners to compose a detailed list that includes the cost and date of purchase to submit to the insurance company. The job also requires coordinating with multiple cleaning and specialty vendors, laborers and disposal companies.

Inspected residential properties and estimated damages after Hurricane Harvey in Houston for insurer Columbia Lloyds. I then transferred to Stuart, Florida to handle claims for Florida Specialty Insurance after Hurricane Irma. Also, for Florida Specialty Insurance, I handled claims in Panama City Beach, Florida after Hurricane Michael. All those losses were written in Xactimate 28 and managed through FileTrac and Xactanalysis. I also handled claims for Erie Insurance after a wind storm in Maryland. Erie claims were written in Symbility.

I am responsible for visiting property, photographing damaged contents, creating a detailed inventory, reviewing the accuracy of the information with the insured and obtaining date of purchase and cost information for review and approval by the insurer.

Managed 5-10 on-site file reviewers that examined files submitted by field adjuster for review and approval by Liberty Mutual Companies. Team Lead for an additional 5-10 remote file reviewers for Liberty Mutual/Safeco Supplement Team. These duties included quality control of client requirements/directives, timelines, managing team workloads and internal reviews for accuracy. Organized biweekly meetings for my team and met individually to provide feedback for each of my team members on their performance. My duties also included quarterly training of new hires in Xactimate and Xactanalysis. Offices in Fishers, Indiana.

Review field adjusted files for SafeCo and Liberty Mutual. My duties include verifying that all estimates fall into the Client's guidelines and are formatted correctly. I then package the estimates and any correspondence with the insured including denials, payment letters ect.

Assignment: I am part of a specialized task force handling Investigation and negotiation of payouts on supplemental claims for SafeCo. I work in Xactimate, xactanalysis and the client's customized claim file as well.

Visiting residential dwelling and identifying any hazards that may exist as well as assessing the condition of the property. After observation, I provided photo documentation and created a narrative to convey a full picture of the property so that our clients' underwriting department can create a policy that assumes the correct risk. Covered Indiana and Illinois.

Created property damage supplements for items missed on during property inspection by the insurance company adjuster. Helped broaden the understanding of policy and coverages to the estimating/sales staff. My expanded duties included training of new hires on Xactimate and Crawford's Contractor Connection as well as estimating on the larger commercial projects.

Provide catastrophe response services to insurance companies on an 'as needed' basis. The service includes responding to claims in a timely manner; clearly communicating with customers; researching, detailing and substantiating each aspect of the claim, including building damages, contents damages, and extra living expenses while extending every benefit to the insured and protecting the interests of the insurance company. I gained my initial knowledge as an apprentice to an adjuster who focused on policy, identification of damage and correct judgement of products and depreciation. I then entered into a paid apprentice position when I was licensed and familiarized myself with different companies preferences and how to tailor my reports to the various claims management softwares.

Paid apprenticeship to an experienced adjuster. Sharpened my inspection, adjusting and estimating skills and learned how to accurately write claims in Xactimate to the specifications of different companies. Provide catastrophe response services to insurance companies on an 'as needed' basis.

I was the first point of contact for each customer that called in to the 40 line phone system that serviced both the Import and Domestic Sales and Service departments. I directed calls and walk in customers to who they needed to talk to.
