Checking in patients for their appointments, providing a welcoming Front of House facilitating role. Answering the telephone and assessing patient’s medical needs, making appointments for patients within the practise or signposting them to other organisations who could provide them with better assistance e.g. Talking Shop, Podiatry or local pharmacies. Completing daily tasks which included telephoning patients and printing important forms for patients.

Supporting and providing care for the elderly, performing both personal care calls and companionship calls. Providing assistance with medication, bathing and showering and preparing meals. Performing activities with the clients that they enjoy. Accompanying clients to hospital and doctors appointments. Logging daily journals including medication charts, expenditure forms and a log of the duties that took place that day.

Responsible for performing a meet and greet role, ensuring visitors felt welcomed upon entry. Handing out promotional flyers of upcoming shows and events and speaking to visitors. Checking tickets and guiding people to their seats. Notifying visitors of the start time of the show or event.

Helping the children choose a book suiting both their ability and interests then encouraging them to read the book aloud with enthusiasm. Using the pronunciation technique to assist children when they struggled with certain words or phrases.Tracking the children’s progress and how it had developed throughout the sessions, stating; how many pages they had read, what type of books they enjoyed reading and how they had found the session using a reward chart where the children were given stickers on a bookmark to show their progress and help them feel like they had achieved something.Communicating with the children, ensuring they were finding school enjoyable and that there wasn’t any issues regarding school. Engaging in conversation about their interests both inside and outside of school e.g. extra curriculum.
