As a guest editor at Illustrated PEN, I select and write about the work of various cartoonists and graphic artists.

I designed, administered, and evaluated health education programs for the student body, served as the office manager of the Counseling and Wellness Center, coordinated the student health insurance plan, and maintained records.

Initially hired as an intern for my graduate school practicum, I worked as a teacher and supervisor at the Youth-to-Health Careers Summer Enrichment Program, a summer long program for high school students from underserved communities with a desire to work in health and medicine professions. After graduating from school I was asked to stay on part-time to design curriculum for future health education classes.

Shortly after graduating from college I moved to Los Angeles and worked at Animo Venice Charter School where I assisted the Guidance Counselor in a variety of tasks. Encouraged by my experience I pursed a teaching credential at UCLA where I student taught history and government for a year at Crenshaw High while taking classes.
