We founded DC Dietitians Connect with the mission to create regular networking events for RDs/DTRs/students/interns in the DC area. We know how valuable and rewarding it can be to meet and learn from other RDs, so we're trying to make it easier to do that here in DC. Join our Facebook group and email list to be notified of upcoming events (we host one roughly every 6 weeks), and to receive recaps, notes, and resources from past events. Our events are usually held in the evening somewhere in the DC area, at a local bar or restaurant. The events are free and center around a theme such as developing a specific business skill or learning about an emerging topic in the field. Expect events to be casual and "pay as you go" for food and drinks, with plenty of time for chatting and getting to know one another.

Guided the development and implementation of proprietary nutrition software and managed integration with external web and mobile application. Created execution-ready solutions for driving meal participation, wellness, and client satisfaction. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop initiatives and metrics that delivered on sector strategy.

Developed school nutrition management coursework for accredited dietetic internship. Designed national research protocol to evaluate plate waste in collaboration with Cornell Food and Brand Lab. Created and disseminated tools for implementing programs including nutrition education, associate training, school gardens, and salad bars. Developed and launched food allergy e-Learning program for training associates in over 500 school districts.
