As the first person to tackle human resources full time for Ingenious Med, my duties include everything from on-boarding, benefits, payroll, insurance, and 401(k) to developing and implementing the company’s formal review process. This carries on to the implemented new software solutions for everything from leave to expenses, participating in HR and HIPAA audits, annual EEO-1 reports, and the application of any resultant processes. Duties also include taking part in company leadership meetings, working with hiring managers, managing new HR staff, managing corporate LinkedIn accounts, managing open enrollment and insurance vendor selection, and engaging in Atlanta’s competitive tech marketplace through career fairs and co-op programs.I just completed the process to receive my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. My project was focused on fine-tuning the onboarding and training of new hires. The goal was to have new hires confident in their abilities to do their job from the survey-determined average of 9 weeks to a desirable window of 4 weeks. Piloting this new set of processes with new customer support hires had obvious qualitative and quantitative results: new hires that feel ready to serve on-call is an obvious benchmark for independent comfort and competency with customer satisfaction as a reliable gauge of performance. -
