Ever since I was little I wanted to work with adolescence. I was intrigued with humanitarian work. I wanted to work in the medical field. I have family members who are in the medical field. During high school I did an internship with an Occupational Therapist. I knew after doing that internship I was bored with that kind of therapy. I started researching other therapies in the medical field. I ran across Respiratory Therapy. I knew that I still wanted to work with newborns and adolescence and wanted to help them get better. I started college and was doing my prerequisites for that major. I had talked to my uncle who is a Psychiatrist, he had helped me understand more of what he did and had to do. I was so intrigued with Psychology and still knew that I wanted to work with adolescence. I had the chills and butterflies of knowing that I had figured out what I wanted to major in to get both work with adolescence and knowing that I am making a change in some kids' lives.
