FUN FACT: I revamped a retired MetroBus into a rolling engagement and demonstration bus for our fare collection system by throwing out the seats and retrofitting it with cabinetry, flatscreens, iPads and equipment simulators. We print personalized cards and register new cardholders, then turn around and demonstrate how their card works on MetroLink and MetroBus. The ULTIMATE customer engagement experience.

I worked as a consultant to MoDOT on the New I-64 Project, communicating with the public and media on the progress of construction, traffic impacts, etc... I improved my graphic design skills with the production of many handouts, flyers and brochures. I acted as a community liaison and spokesperson for the Cross County MetroLink Extension by performing many different functions. I designed and wrote newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, status reports and other communication materials. I also responded to citizens' questions and concerns via telephone and email, wrote press releases and media advisories and maintained the project website. The best part about this position was actually the end - when I helped plan and coordinate the Grand Opening activities for the Cross County MetroLink Extension. I worked as a Promotions Intern at Fox 2 during my last semester of college. During my short time there, I learned a lot about the media that would prove essential to my future positions. The most exciting project I had was producing a televised Public Service Announcement for "Rock, Roll 'n Stroll," an event that benefited muscular dystrophy patients. The spot ran on Channel 2 for about a month. Aside from that, my daily activities included writing copy and assisting in the production of television promotions for many of Fox's TV shows.

I worked here during summer and winter breaks from school. I helped organize personnel files, answer benefit questions, perform payroll runs, etc...
