Texas Tech University is committed to preparing leaders for a diverse and globally competitive workforce. My colleagues and I send upwards of 1,400 students abroad each year, the majority of which participate in short-term faculty-led programs.• Oversee all Study Abroad operations including program development, student recruitment, fiscal administration, website and database systems, policy creation and management, and personnel matters.• Act as first responder for all emergencies involving education abroad students and program leaders to include upwards of 1,400 students and 100 faculty leaders annually.• Directed response to COVID-19 outbreak including evacuation of 100+ students in spring 2020; developed new risk mitigation policies and procedures which led to the successful relaunch of programming in summer 2021.• Advocate for innovative and positively impactful international education experiences with on-campus and overseas stakeholders; focused campus collaborations led to TTU’s recognition by the Institute of International Education Open Doors report as a Top 10 institution for education abroad participation.• Collaborate with colleagues at TTU's international centers in Sevilla, Spain, and San Jose, Costa Rica, to develop new programming and processes.• Facilitate transparent program approval processes and continuously assess programs using education abroad best practices.• Implement strategic and operational planning in line with International Affairs and TTU strategic plans.

PaperClip Communications provides online and printed resources for higher education and K-12 administrators. I am honored to develop and deliver content on a regular basis by collaborating with PaperClip to host 90-minute webinars offering international education best practices. Webinar topics delivered include: -Study abroad program leader selection and training-International risk mitigation-Pre-departure orientation content development and delivery-Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in study abroad -International crisis management including emergency planning and response
