I started my career in field sales roles, and took early opportunities to participate in side work in project management, training, and personnel development. I built a successful career in Sales, winning regional and national awards in the pharma/biotech space. I transitioned into the research side of the business in relationship and program management roles, getting the opportunity to participate in planning and facilitating preclinical research and clinical trials in the oncology space, culminating in the opportunity to work with some great folks and bring a targeted oncology therapy to market.Took an opportunity to get off the road and learn a new industry in 2018 after the biotech for whom I worked was bought by a large Pharma company who didn't retain any of the employees. The copper wire and cable industry has turned out to be every bit as complex as biotech, but in very different ways. My new role exercised my skills in project management, process standardization, and continuous improvement. I took a leadership role in the customer service organization for our company, and have benefitted from the experience of tenured team members as well as the new solutions brought by recent additions to the team. We've taken the opportunity to streamline processes and eliminate waste, and have expanded to include an Inside Sales role.As I've lead this team and refined what our group does within the organization, I've enjoyed discovering an alternate career path outside the direct-selling role. I've sharpened my skills with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and the pursuit of a Project Management certification. I've advocated for my team members and honed my leadership skills. We continue to find creative solutions to put us into position to meet our customers' needs.
