I arrived at Fort Hood in January 2013 and hit the ground running! Through a rigorous training cycle I coordinated food, latrines, showers, and ice for a unit of more than 450 people. I soon transitioned into leading Soldiers and managing inventory and equipment maintenance worth hundreds of millions of dollars for three years. After that time, I moved to a staff position as the Officer in charge of all Supply functions within the Battalion where I could plan and coordinate movements and training, and overall logistics, using the knowledge I gained in the three years prior, to improve the systems and processes and help make the training safer, more efficient, and more effective.
