Professor Of Computer Science And Chair Of Software EngineeringLancaster University Aug 2007 - Apr 2017Lancaster, GbI lead two research groups, one in social computing and one in software engineering. In the six years since I joined Lancaster University, I have graduated four PhD students (with a further two close to completion) and built up a group of 12 full-time research staff. I currently lead two large research projects. Catalyst (http://www.catalystproject.org.uk) brings together 15 academic staff from 8 academic departments across Lancaster University as well as around 70 community organizations. Digital Brain Switch, which I also lead, is a collaboration of four major research universities across the UK. In addition to these, in the last five years, I have led VoiceYourView (http://www.voiceyourview.com), a multidisciplinary collaboration between six UK universities; EAMDE, a multidisciplinary project working closely with over twenty companies; and I led a research network, which involved around 100 academics and professionals from all over Europe. -
