I’ve been working in the IT industry for nearly 12 years now and all of that time has been in the education sector. For me, in work, there is no better feeling than knowing you are making a difference for the next generation.I pride myself in my interpersonal skills and communication and for me this is key, to succeed in my role. I have also in the last 18 months stepped into a management position and I really feel I am flourishing in this now.I started out line managing one person, which soon became two and now I head up a team of five other IT professionals that look after the entire Primary Sector at Harris Federation. It is a big challenge to look after all 20 of these schools but with a solid team behind me, I believe we are making a difference and always improving IT across these schools.
