I'm a qualified teacher, entrepreneur and executive leader with a commercial background focused on the creation and leadership of global award-winning teams working at the intersection of emerging technology and learning. My commercial experience includes senior management roles in large multi-national publishing & learning technology companies (Pearson and McGraw-Hill Education) and EdTech (SmartSparrow - a start-up spun out of the University of NSW), and launching my own VC-backed EdTech start-up, iN2iTY LAB, in 2021.In my previous role as Enterprise Account Executive, APAC for Credly (part of Pearson's Workforce Skills division) I helped educators, member-based associations and educational organisations across the APAC region in their exploration of digital credentialing as a way of better connecting learners to job opportunities based on their verified skills.As Founder and CEO of Future Think Lab, a strategy and innovation consultancy, I helped tertiary education providers imagine the future and bring it to the present - by providing insight, guidance and support along their journey of digital transformation to improve student engagement and progression to completion.As Head of the Digital Learning Lab at TAFE NSW (one of the largest training organisations in the world, with c.500k annual enrolments), I designed the Lab and recruited 3 x teams of experts exploring, testing, collaborating and developing the "what's next" of immersive computing (AR/VR), machine learning, artificial intelligence, EdTech, learning analytics and data science. Under my leadership, the TAFE NSW Digital Learning Lab achieved global recognition for our thought leadership and demonstrated results, by being named as Platinum winners of the IMS Global Learning Impact Awards 2020 for our work on demonstrating improvement in learning outcomes via VR simulation training.My expertise is in authentic leadership and the transformation of learner engagement through applications of emerging technology… and most importantly, the organisational change that must occur to operationalise innovation and bring sustained improvement and lasting change.
