Initiated paperless invoice storage system resulting in time savings and reducing paper waste and storage expense. Processing AP invoices and ACH, check and wire payments, reconciling expense reports, researching variances between invoicing and purchase orders, and impacted month end through accurate reporting. Assisted in plant closing financials and reporting.

Responsible for Accounts Payable functions, eventually transitioning into Job Costing. Promoted to Financial Accounting Assistant and main back up position for AR, AP, Job Costing, Payroll and Switchboard. Preparing and processing of journal entries, preparing financial reports for distribution.

Local newspaper - Palladium-Item, owned by Gannett. Responsible for Accounts Payable functions and Newsprint/Ink Inventory. Reconciled monthly Newsprint and Ink inventories. Processed Accounts Payable invoices and payments. Processed subscription billing to customers.
