CurrentCreated and initiated Nerd Ninjaz & Future Ready that introduces young people, ages 5 -20, to computer coding (Blockly, HTML, CSS, & JavaScript) and digital citizenship. Supported and coached 2,000+ City of Atlanta young people in computer coding and digital citizenship using diverse learning tools. Provided services to several youth-focused organizations including Atlanta, Neighborhood Charter School, Wings for Kids, the City of Atlanta Centers of Hope, and several others. Launched the Soar project from 2012-2017 that provided assistance to private liberal arts colleges (Davidson, Amherst, Pamona, Pitzer, and others) in identifying and recruiting high-performing youth that attended Title I high schools. Unlocked over $1,000,000 in financial resources for Soar students attending liberal arts colleges. Conducted Financial Aid Saturdays from 2012-2015 in 12 Metro Atlanta's high schools with the lowest graduation rates (over $1,000,00 accessed). Spearheaded the Independent Scholar project, the Georgia Youth Opportunities Initiative's (GYOI), to create a mobile and web app to assist first-generation youth high school students in accessing and succeeding in postsecondary learning. Organized and managed TEDxYouth@PiedmontPark and TEDxYouth@TheBeltline from 2011 - 2015. Recruited 40+ young speakers, ages 12 - 24, to prepare and gave TED-style talks to diverse audiences of 500+ teens and adults. Designed and developed the Daniel H. Stanton Elementary School Transformation Plan (2012) that prevented its closure; Served as a community coordinator and program manager of The Leader In Me program, based on Dr. Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, at Daniel H. Stanton Elementary School; Certified 7 Habits facilitator. The school has transformed into the Barack and Michelle Obama Academy.
