Consulting focused on institutional knowledge transfer to the MAX Digital data operations team after leaving full-time role in late December 2021.Built proof-of-concept general-purpose export system for MAX Digital leveraging existing SQL Server and C# components with Python + Beautiful Soup scripts to scrape existing website export configuration.

MAX Digital is a SaaS solution in the automotive retailing and marketing space formed from INCISENT Technology’s Firstlook and MAX business units and was acquired by ACV Auctions (ACVA) in July 2021, continuing independently.Continued evolution of hybrid engineer/manager role, reporting directly to the CEO (2015-2019) and then VP of Product Management. Managed team of BI specialists, senior data architects, admins, and integration experts in support of local and remote product management, application engineering, and data management teams in all phases of the data life cycle. Designed, engineered, operated, and improved SaaS application database tiers, integration platforms, and analytics/reporting stacks. Led and executed successful migration of MSSQL 2008R2 database platform to MSSQL 2019 from on-prem to AWS EC2, reducing annual resources/cost by ~50%.

INCISENT is the holding company that funded and operated Firstlook System’s SaaS automotive retailing solution and companion marketing solution known as MAX.Formed and managed internal database platform team of database engineers and administrators to support the database tier of several SaaS applications, ETL processing (thousands of daily inputs and outputs), SQL Server administration, and internal tool development in SSIS and C#.Dramatically increased data quality and reduced operational cost/production incidents by consolidating dozens of legacy batch processes into a unified ETL/ELT platform supporting hundreds of data classes and formats (SSIS/SQL Server/C#.)

Serverd on the engineering team to support the Java application stack and migration to C#. Involved in all phases of data life cycle - database modeling, development, ETL/ELT dev ops, optimization, and administration. Eventually served as team leader to small group of database engineers and BI specialists while serving as primary DBA.With the Chicago management team, helped build-out a second engineering team in Austin, TX that eventually formed a separate business unit (MAX Systems) within INCISENT Technologies (successor company to Firstlook Systems.).

Worked with internal analytics team to develop data models, reporting platforms, and data-driven presentations using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Enterprise), Classic ASP, and PowerPoint.

Key contributor to small (10-15 person) decision support team for several Baxter business units. Built report and analytical solutions in SQL Server, Visual Basic 6.0, and Classic ASP.
