The Australian Tourism Awards are the tourism industry’s peak Awards – recognising and promoting excellence in tourism.

Operating for 35 years, the Queensland Tourism Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of the state's tourism industry, including individuals, businesses (industry operators) and events.Each year a panel of Queensland-based industry experts are appointed to judge the awards. The role of Queensland Tourism Awards Judging Panel is to fairly and independently evaluate each entry through a formal assessment process. The process is audited by Ernst & Young.

Responsibility for managing the execution of global campaigns for Queensland destination and events marketing across all digital channels.During my time in the the role, I led a team charged with the responsibility of managing the Queensland owned channels including the Queensland.com website, the Queensland Mobile Apps, Consumer global eNews programs and the activation of consumer facing digital activity for Tourism and Events Queensland globally.As Digital Marketing Manager, I led a team of 5 direct reports.Accomplishments during my time in this role included:- Project Manager for the build of the Queensland consumer website Queensland.com delivered in 8 languages, including the shift to a new, responsive CMS, agency management, stakeholder engagement and content development.- Redesign and launch of the global consumer eNewsletter program to responsive templates including redesign, translations, testing and team training.- Continued growth in eNews subscriber numbers globally, with strong delivery, and engagement rates with content.- Continued growth in new visitors to the website and page optimisations to improve the consumer journey through the path to purchase, driving leads to industry.
