I analyze blueprints and spec sheets in order to perform quantity take offs and estimates for national builders focusing in residential home construction. I also analyze billing quantities and pricing to ensure accurate payments. I am in constant communication with builder purchasing departments, job sups, and our installers to ensure a smooth working partnership.Before managing accounts I spent over a year scheduling and job planning using online software (Supply Pro, Build Pro, Homedev, Buidlertrend, and Ebuilder). I did and still use our internal company software (RFMS) to keep track of jobs and quantities between departments. During this time I also was responsible for the claim process; we worked in conjunction with manufactures to solve problems and/or defects that have occurred during jobs.

While serving as Department lead, I helped ensure that our profits continued to rise. We were the only store nationwide under the Supervalu franchise to continuously report profits every month for the last three years. I also was responsible for training and managing employees. I led teams from 2 to 6 employees at a time. I delegated duties and responsibilities.

I was asked to join the Schwickerts team to help complete their summer burst of housing projects. I did every aspect of roofing from ground clean up, to laying shingles, and caring bundles. I also helped establish the “plan of attack”. This meant giving orders to the crew and establishing best method of job completion. I also was recruited to be a part of their project team where I worked with customers and ordered product.

While at Crary, I was part of a team that built single and multi-family homes. We also built several apartment buildings and clinics. With my knowledge and experience of blue print reading I worked my way up to performing independent site layouts, preparation, and material tracking.

I lead a team of several employees where we established problem areas and filed estimates for water and fire damaged buildings. We used industry company/industry estimating software to provide a speedy and accurate proposal. We also decontaminated the problem areas and worked with insurance and subs to complete the project.

Working with a crew of 4, we built custom homes and also collaborated with other crews to build reception halls, veterinary clinics, and city buildings. I also led a team of 3, that built metal covered pull barns and other agricultural buildings.
