About Lauren Wickware

Have you ever smelled a book? Maybe one that is hot off the press? Or a really, really old leather bound volume? No? I don’t believe you. Books are an experience. Creating a printed piece is a perfect storm of strong content, skilled design and the right materials.A publication has the potential to be an ambassador to an art gallery or museum, extending an exhibition’s reach beyond walls (or a web browser’s window). I think it is time to consider how printed items are less about documenting the past—but more about creating the future. Especially since ever changing restrictions are shifting not just where, or the way we work, but how we experience our favourite places and spaces. This is why I partner with arts organizations to help them to expand their reach beyond their walls. My education and previous work experience in fine arts and publishing inform my design perspective, creating publications that range from highly conceptual to elegantly traditional.Learn about my process: https://youtu.be/2WJVOTLEqtQSee some of my work: www.laurenwickware.comSign-up for my monthly newsletter at: https://laurenwickware.com/#/infoContact me at: lauren@laurenwickware.com
