Wicky Zhang is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience. He co-founded Skoopin (A.K.A. Metafoodx) in 2021 with three additional co-founders, which has raised 3M+ in funding from well-known investors in the Bay Area and has grown to have 10+ full-time employees until now. Before Metafoodx, inspired by his practice in China, Wicky founded AntX in 2019 and attended CES2020, and was well received and recognized as a food waste innovator by US media.Wicky has rich experience running a disruptive startup company in China. He co-invented the intelligent scale and co-founded Xi’an Dingshun IoT Company in 2015. During this time, Wicky was an advocate of the personal diet digitalization platform (PDDP) initiative and was the first in the industry to promote the concept of a healthy diet with real-time data-driven behavior change. Wicky is actively involved in marketing the multicore processor-based network system, representing Tilera, a silicon valley tech venture in China. Wicky successfully achieved design wins in major Chinese Internet companies, including Tencent, Baidu, and Sina Weibo from 2008 to 2014. Wicky’s team is the pioneer of semiconductor applications in dot-com companies with $15m in revenue. Before that, Wicky founded his first company providing FPGA accelerator solutions for HPC (2002 - 2007). Wicky was a Ph.D. candidate in Mechatronics and graduated in 2006 from Xi’an Jiaotong University.
