About Wiem E.
During college, I studied computer science and found myself interested in data gathering techniques and information exploring techniques. Therefore, as a graduation project, I studied and compared the performances of two routing protocoles for wireless sensor networks. The goal of this project was to identify which of the protocoles reduces data loss rate and decreaces latency. After that, I moved to France and enrolled a master's program at INSA Lyon to study artificial intelligence and decision making support. The course focused on mining data to extract relevant "indicators or features", machine learning algorithms to build prediction models, and optimization tools to enhance the decision making step. My master's degree gave me access to a PhD position where I was in charge of assessing a system's health state through wireless monitoring. My responsibilities include developing a fault tolerant data gathering scheme for wireless sensor networks, extracting relevant health indicators from the data set, and implementing a machine learning algorithm for on-line health assessment of machinery.I had the opportunity of applying machine learning techniques at Air France working on a trafic forecast tool in order to improve the ground entities operations, and SGCIB for fraud detection project.I am currently working at Faurecia innov' developing algorithms for connected cars.
