Interim functie waarin ik werk aan de nieuwe dienstverleningsvisie van Gemeente Zevenaar, monitoring van de dienstverlening, coördinatie van het collegiaal bijstandsteam (CBT), en het dienstverleningsaspect van de implementatie van de omgevingswet.

Ik heb het team opgezet en coördineer nu de energiecoaches van Gemeente Zevenaar. Zij geven gratis en onafhankelijk advies aan inwoners van de gemeente over het besparen van energie in hun woningen. Er zitten erg bevlogen coaches bij, die veel meer van duurzaamheid weten dan ik! Samen bepalen we waar we meer aandacht aan willen geven (bijvoorbeeld het maken van gespreksformats) of waar de coaches meer over willen leren (bijv. via excursies naar lokale duurzame ondernemers).

Ik maakte samen met Michiel Artz (animator), Ferdinand van Hemmen (landschapshistoricus) en Ingrid Mens (Liemers Museum) voor het museum een animatie over De Conventie van 1771. Daar heeft vrijwel niemand van gehoord: maar het is de basis voor het waterbeheer in Nederland! Hier maakten Gelderland, Holland en Pruisen afspraken over waterverdeling en het onderhoud / de aanleg van waterwerken. Dankzij deze conventie hebben we in Nederland (meestal) droge voetjes! NME Liemers is een prachtige organisatie die natuur- en milieueducatie verzorgt in de regio de Liemers. Doordat de gemeenten hier, zoals alle gemeenten in Nederland, fors moeten bezuinigen, wordt de toekomstige dienstverlening van NME Liemers bedreigd. Ik ben ingevlogen om taken van de coördinator over te nemen en samen de toekomstscenario's voor NME Liemers uit te werken. Het NME is inmiddels bij de leuke cultuur- en educatieorganisatie Kunstwerk! ondergebracht.

In Zevenaar a beautiful social-cultural center is being developed in an old factory building right near the city center. The construction work is almost done and its governance structure is planned to be ready in July 2020. Up until that point I am the coördinator for matters regarding managing the space / facilities management / programming / communication, and developing a foundation for collaboration with the partners.

Remember the 'Hand' in Game of Thrones? That has been my job in the Turmac Cultuurfabriek project in Zevenaar. Of course, there was not that much bloodshed, or strategic intrigue. Rather, the comparison points to the way I worked with my client. As a team we strategized together about the topics of Participation, Architecture, Interior Design, Catering revenue models, service structures, internal and external communication etc. We try to approach every decision with a creative mind.
