As an Anthropologist and Theorist with a PhD, I focus on the complexities of sociocultural engagement, intergenerational dynamics, and migration. My work is grounded in ethnographic methodologies, which allow me to uncover deep cultural insights that are often inaccessible through conventional research methods. These insights have been crucial for informing strategic decision-making across various sectors, including arts, culture, heritage, tourism, media, food, and retail.Throughout my career, I have led several high-impact research initiatives that have significantly influenced policy and strategy. One notable project was the Arts Census of Brantford/Brant, where I directed an innovative comprehensive analysis that integrated both qualitative and quantitative data to reveal deep insights about the state of the arts in Brant Region. This approach provided senior leadership in local municipalities and stakeholder organizations with a nuanced understanding of their cultural landscape, enabling them to make informed creative decisions that aligned with broader regional objectives and strategies.In addition to my work as an anthropology consultant, I manage a boutique digital agency that specializes in brand storytelling and digital marketing for clients in the experience industry. Here, I apply my anthropological expertise to help clients connect more authentically with their audiences by understanding the cultural contexts in which these businesses operate. I am able to craft and inform strategies that resonate on a deep level, driving both engagement, retention, and growth.My scholarship has been published in academic journals and monographs, primarily in the fields of performance theory, migration studies, and creative writing. I am also a leader in the culture and tourism sectors by offering my experience to various advisory committees and not-for-profits.My academic background and professional experience have equipped me with a unique perspective on the interplay between culture and commerce.
