Wil Marquez uses innovative design principles to probe new ideas in architecture, public space, equity, and design. His 20 year tenure go hand-in-hand w/ his enthusiasm about new ways professionals contribute to meaningful yet stimulating environments for a just city. He holds a Masters degree in architecture from the University of Michigan and undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota. His consultancy w/Purpose has led and collaborated on a variety of developments, urban strategies, neighborhood branding, and design/build projects since 2010. Marquez’s experience with community based planning, development, and design projects highlight his comfort for integrating architecture, art, development, and landscape into highly visual - yet practical possibilities, but with a twist. On of his strengths is recognizing a projects complexity while leveraging strategic alliances with area developers, designers, fabricators, contractors, artists, & agencies to get projects completed on time and w/ purpose.
