Implement, develop, and deploy innovative applications and existing systems for Royal Caribbean Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara fleet. Support the entire fleet remotely and work with other areas of IT to resolve high level issues. I've been directly involved with some of the "First in Industry" systems for Cruise lines. Managed deployments of several systems for new ships being built, current ships in service, and ships in Dry Dock.I lead a team of 9 that work with a variety of systems, software, and specialized engineers in the cruise industry. Highly skilled in troubleshooting and resolving system-level issues. My ultimate goal is to understand how systems work, the interfaces connecting them, and other system dependencies. Systems include Internet Café, Electronic Waivers, Adventure Ocean Kids Check-In, Apple iPad ITV Solution, Luggage Tracking RFID, and many other systems. My duties also included researching and providing purchase order requests on all required hardware and software for new and existing systems.

I created and updated Scope, Design, and Test documentation for configuring servers, workstations, laptops, tablets (MAC & Windows), and iPhones. Created a step-by-step process for deploying and testing systems onboard the ships. Implemented an in-house Wireless Internet Café solution for the Guest & Crew. This initiative saved the company millions of dollars by eliminating the dependencies of vendors and revenue sharing. Managed project plan, budget, resources, and ship deployment schedule. Worked with Network team, Security team, Integration team, Satellite team, Development team, and various other teams on every new ship built since 2000. Upgrade & implement new systems during Dry-Docks as well.

Programmed the Shipboard Property Management System. Specialized in the development of the Automated Embarkation/Guest Pier check-in application, and the uploading of the off-line data back to the ship. I also installed the new Embarkation system on all Royal Caribbean vessels and deployed the maintenance releases.

Senior programmer where I maintained and updated the applications for Store Inventory, Purchase Orders, Daily Sales, and more. As the only SCO UNIX system administrator, I managed the logins, profiles, system access, trained employees, and configured peripherals like RF Hand-held Scanners. I developed programs to parse out information from EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) data sent by vendors, and automatically generated the Purchase Orders from these invoices from our system.

Develop programs for Real Estate Property Management system on both IBM RISC AIX/6000 and SCO UNIX environments. Provided remote technical support to clients and wrote an internal on-line help documentation system.
