I've had the privilege of running a dozen public and private companies in good times and bad, including early-stage, turnarounds, and those experiencing rapid-growth. These companies served the staffing/PEO/HCM, marketing, retailing, precision instruments, financial services, research, speciality chemicals, and natural products industries. I also benefited from servings as a Managing Director/Advisor for De Bellas & Co., LLC, a board member of charitable/industry organizations, and in the U.S. Marine Corps.Following my most recent Investment Banking experience, I am now enjoying co-founding several HCM related startups, while also working as a finder/advisor/coach assisting small and mid-sized companies secure funding, accelerate growth and achieve a successful exit. In these roles, I am working to apply lessons learned to assist owners/senior management sustain profitable growth - and achieve a successful exit. Over the years I've also enjoyed studying and writing articles on the critical importance of people in sustaining growth and shareholder value across industries, the interaction between technology and human bias in top-level recruiting, the interplay of performance and timing in M&A, the impact of animal spirits, visibility, and cost of money on M&A activity, and the impact of AI, Machine Learning and soft Robotics on the staffing industry.
