The Science Equipment Library was set up to work closely with schools and educators to ignite children's interest in science and technology by providing teachers with easy access to a library of practical science equipment, accompanied by lesson plans and other aides. In addition to corporate governance duties, as a Trustee I worked on building awareness of the SEL, raise funds / secure sponsorship, increase equipment inventory and develop support/teaching materials. SEL was subsequently merged with the House of Science.

Exciting time as the media spearhead of a movement that reversed 32 years of coming 2nd by eventually snatching 12 of the 15 seats in the north of Queensland; worked with MPs and candidates over a series of campaigns, generating speeches, advertising, press/other media releases, events and campaign materials including direct mail; also co-ordinated campaigning, maintained databases, coached candidates, managed crises and became a senior advisor and spokesperson to ministerial level, before standing for election personally (see above).
