Liverpool FC America is an official partner of the Liverpool International Football Academy. The only youth soccer club in the world to hold that distinction is an honor and a responsibility taken seriously by Liverpool FC America. The culture of Liverpool is based on our three core principles or pillars; Character, Quality and Tradition. The ‘tradition’ mentioned is guided and inspired by our relationship with Liverpool FC, England. The rich heritage and traditions that have inspired more than 100 years of legendary tales of some of the greatest moments in international soccer also inspire our club here in Texas. Our traditions of flying the Liverpool flag at team events, the "last hand off the field", and the required respect of all referees with a handshake after game are all small parts of our respect, dedication and admiration for the history of Liverpool FC, England.

In 2001, Club Classic Soccer was founded by Wilco Ravestijn a native from the Netherlands. The club was structured after the renowned Dutch training philosophy and methodology which has produced some of the most talented players in the world.Club Classic establishing itself as a quality, respected soccer organization and grew to 25 boy’s teams in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex staffed by more than 17 highly qualified coaches.The coaching philosophy and mission statement was established in 2001 and was adopted by Texas Spirit in 2002 when they became a brother/sister organization both run by Wilco as the Executive Director.Mission Statement: TO PROVIDE FAMILIES WITH A SOCCER EXPERIENCE THAT EMPHASIZES ENJOYMENT AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT WITHIN A COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT.1 – Enjoyment – We want players to develop passion for the game. If it’s not fun, players will lose that passion. By applying positive reinforcement to develop confidence, and motivation techniques that creates a burning desire to improve, players will learn to always think about how they can be a better player.2 – Development – The style of soccer that we play at Club Classic is an indirect attacking style of soccer by keeping possession of the ball. This requires the player to use skill and make intelligent decisions on and off the ball. This is a long term attitude toward accelerating player development which is often not as effective in the short run, when compared to the direct style of soccer also known as the “kick and run” game that many coaches adopt due to the pressure to win. The kick and run game often produces more results but sacrifices player development.3 – Competitiveness – During practice or games, we go out to win and perform at the most excellent effort possible, but not to the detriment of the first two priorities. As long as 110% is given to achieve the goal for that particular game or practice, the player should be proud of his performance regardless of the result.
