MadFreedom is a human and civil rights membership organization whose mission is to secure political power to end discrimination and oppression of people based on perceived mental state. MadFreedom envisions a world where every person regardless of race, gender, sexuality, class, ableness and mental state has the freedom to live their life on their own terms without coercion and with equality under the law.

Vermont Psychiatric Survivors is a mutual support and civil rights advocacy organization run by and for people the world has labeled "mentally ill." Founded in 1983, its mission is to end psychiatric coercion, oppression and discrimination through mutual support and advocacy. As Executive Director, Wilda oversaw the re-branding of the organization and its quarterly publication called Counterpoint. Wilda also opened up an additional office in southern Vermont, introduced a Director of Training position, and returned the organization to financial health.

During her tenure with the Thelton E. Henderson Center for Social Justice at UC Berkeley School of Law, Wilda convenedthree conferences centered on African American girls and young women that were the first of their kind: 2010, African American Girls and Young Women and the Juvenile Justice System: A Call to Action; 2011, Gendered Violence Against African American Girls and Young Women: Breaking the Silence,"; and 2013, Race, Domestic and Sexual Violence: From the Prison Nation to Community Resistance (with UC Berkeley Center on Race and Gender).

One of three partners in a plaintiff's litigation boutique law firm in the San Francisco plaintiff's firm of Walker, Hamilton & White. Wilda has tried over 50 cases before administrative law judges, trial courts and juries. In 2007, she was recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer.

Ms. White was a management consultant, providing consultancy services, to senior executives of Fortune 500 companies with an emphasis on strategic planning in regulated industries. While there she wrote a White Paper that modeled and predicted the development of natural gas pipelines across the world.

Ms. White was hired out of Harvard Business School by Knight Ridder to participate in its "Publisher In Training" program. She never left her rotation in the Miami Herald news room. She worked on the business desk; the sports desk where she was one of several reporters covering the Florida Marlins' Opening Day; and the City Desk where she investigated and wrote a front page story that resulted in the release of a wrongfully incarcerated prisoner. She was also an Assistant City Editor at the Miami Herald during the period that the newspaper won a Pulitizer Prize for Public Service.
